An eye exam at Home Optical helps you make sure that your vision is optimized and may detect any eye problems you might have. Regular exams may find early symptoms of eye disorders and reveal vital information about your general health. Eye examinations require no preparation on your part, are easy and convenient, and can be done properly in a short time.
An Independent Doctor of Optometry at Home Optical treats you and your eyes with the utmost care, patience and respect. They are state-licensed health care professionals and hold a doctor of optometry (O.D.) degree. They are also continuously updated on new developments in the field of vision and eye care. During an examination they are ready to answer any questions you have regarding your eye health and the examination itself.

Prior to your initial visit, we will attempt to mail a pre-registration form to you to begin organizing your chart, or you may also download the forms to the right. This will allow a more efficient use of your time once you arrive. We request that you arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment in order to confirm the information in your chart, as well as confirm your insurance authorizations. For a complete eye exam, please allow approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours for your initial visit. Since your eyes will possibly be dilated, please remember to bring your sunglasses. You may also wish to bring a friend or relative to drive you home. If the appointment is for a minor (under 18 years of age), please remember that for legal reasons a parent or guardian must be present during the exam.
